New certification: Google Cloud Data Analytics Certificate

August 12, 20261 min read

I just earned the Google Cloud Data Analytics Certificate, issued by Google Cloud. The verified badge is up on Credly.

What it covers

The certification focuses on the full data workflow on Google Cloud: ingesting and transforming data, running efficient queries with BigQuery, and visualizing results to support decision-making. It's a natural complement to the serverless architecture microcredential I earned on AWS earlier this year — same idea, different cloud.

Why I went for it

Between university and my internship at Indra ATM Sistemas, most of my hands-on work has been at the application and infrastructure layer. I wanted to round that out by actually understanding the data layer: how data gets modeled, queried and put to use at scale in a managed cloud environment, instead of treating it as a black box behind a dashboard.

What's next

It's already reflected in the Education & Certifications section of the portfolio. I'll keep pairing this with hands-on data projects as time allows — for now it's one more step logged along the way.
